Project Description

1.     Project: Developing OVC Verification Component –OVM compliant (OVC)

Aim is to develop an OVC in Specman E, which is used at interface level between any block or system level environment and DUT to generate and drive single bit or vectored input signals for DUT. It also performs low level monitoring of the interface signals. It is completely OVM compliant.

2.     Project: Block Level Verification of networking node chip

Aim is to verify all the features for a strategic block of a node chip, enhancement of environment for new features and verifying them for next version of node chip .Improving coverage and monitor regressions.

3.     Project: Chip Level verification for networking Fabric chip

The fabric chip is designed to be used with the node chips to be used in networking applications.  Aim was to verify each component of the chip individually and also to carry out chip level verification in E language.   

4.     Project: AXI and AHB Verification IP in System verilog

The AMBAAXI protocol is targeted at high-performance, high-frequency system designs .Our aim was to develop the AXI and AHB verification IP in System Verilog .System verilog enhances the readability, reusability and productivity of verilog based code. It has support for both directed and constrained development test bench development, coverage driven and assertion driven verification. It involves less effort and randomization can capture scenarios which cannot be captured by verilog based Verification.

After reading the Basic specifications for AXI and AHB protocols an elaborated test plan was made to check basic operations which can be performed at the bus interfaces.

Followed by this an environment was developed in System verilog  consisting of basic elements like generator ,driver, scoreboard and monitor .Test cases were written where scenario elements were randomized and fired to check the protocol .Few test cases needed to be written which can check various scenarios.

The AXI verification environment was used to verify an RTL for shwy bridge .Constraints were written according to the need of the design .The environment successfully captured a bug which was not earlier captured by verilog based verification.
